Tim Duffy - CEO and Managing Director
Tim is an international mining executive with almost 30 years experience in the mining industry. He has an outstanding track record of achievements in relation to delivering outcomes surrounding competitiveness, profitability and growth. In addition to his executive experience, working at an international level has enabled Tim to have a detailed understanding of broader corporate challenges such as the impact on environmental, social and governance factors. Prior to joining Lubambe, Tim was Vice President Director and CEO of PT Agincourt Resources in Indonesia. During this time, he was part of a team which developed a green fields gold project into the highly successful Martabe Gold Mine.

Brett Hartmann - General Manager Operations
Brett is a qualified mining engineer with more than 20 years’ experience working in underground, open cut, base metals and precious metals mining operations. He has held technical, production, and management roles, working for the mine owner as well as a mining contractor. In his previous roles, he held leadership positions such as General Manager and Group Operations Manager, among other roles. Brett holds a master’s degree in Mineral Economics and a Bachelor of Mining Engineering.

Tommie Van Der Walt - General Manager – Projects and Studies
Tommie is an experienced Project Executive with more than 15 years experience in Mining projects. He is registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and a professional member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ). Before joining Lubambe, Tommie served as Regional Project Director for Africa at Newmont Gold Mining Corporation. During his 8-year career at Newmont he also held the positions of Project Director and Study Director. Prior to that, he held various engineering and management positions at AngloGold Ashanti from 2003-2010.

Eustus Munsaka - Chief Financial Officer
Eustus is a Fellow of ACCA and ZICA and a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD). Before joining Lubambe, he served as Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary from August 2012 to June 2018 and as Finance Manager from December 2006 to July 2012 at Chibuluma Mines Plc. Prior to that, he rose through the ranks to the position of Senior Assurance Manager at Deloitte and Touché from November 1996 to June, 2006 and later worked as Finance Manager & Company Secretary at Industrial Credit Company Limited from July 2006 to December 2006.

Daniel Chihili - General Manager Support Services
Daniel is an experienced Safety Manager with 26 years working experience in the Mining Industry, 7 years as a Metallurgist and 19 years as a Safety, Health & Environmental Manager. Daniel is a Metallurgist (Registered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Engineering of Zambia), a Safety Professional with a diploma in Occupational Health & Safety from the National Examination Board of Safety & Health – UK. He is also a Member of the International Organization of Safety & Health (IOSH-UK). He joined Lubambe Copper Mine in July 2018 as Safety, Health & Environmental Manager. Daniel’s previous role was Metallurgical Process Controller at ZCCM/KCM, Safety Implementation Manager at KCM, SHE Manager at Chambishi Metals and SHE Manager at Boss Mining (DRC).

Ali Simukonda - Risk Security and Compliance Manager
Ali has 15 years working experience in Risk, Compliance, Assurance, Governance and Audit. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Zambia. Prior to joining Lubambe, Ali worked at Standard Chartered Bank Zambia Plc in Commercial Banking Division as Head Process and Governance from 2017 to March 2019. Before joining Commercial Banking division, he worked as Operational Risk Manager in Retail Banking between 2014 and 2016 for Client Acquisition and Business Banking respectively. Ali also worked at Madison Finance Company Limited and the holding Company LSA as Audit, Risk and Assurance Manager which is in the Financial Services Industry. Furthermore, Ali worked at Zambia National Commercial Bank Zambia Plc (ZANACO) between 2011 and 2013 as an Internal Audit Manager. Ali’s career started in 2009 at KPMG Zambia in external audit.

Lomthunzi Mbewe - Community and Stakeholder Relations Manager
Lomthunzi is a Senior Investment Specialist with over 10 years’ experience in Investment Promotion and Trade Facilitation. Before joining Lubambe, Lomthunzi served as Manager for Investment Promotions at the Zambia Development Agency. Prior to that, she held positions of Investment Specialist and Business Development Specialist at the Zambia Development Agency from 2007 to 2017. She began her career as the Coordinator of a Presidential Program, The Strategic Action Initiative for Economic Development- Triangle of Hope Program in 2005.
