Lubambe Copper Mine Limited owns and operates the Lubambe underground Copper Mine located in Chililabombwe District of the Copperbelt Province in Zambia. The Mine which commenced operations in 2012 is situated approximately 468 kilometres North of the Capital City of Lusaka, 152 Kilometres from Ndola and approximately 40 Kilometres from Chingola.
Lubambe Copper Mine sits on a lease area of approximately 228 square kilometres and comprises an existing underground mine, characterised by two distinct limbs (the East and South Limbs) and a processing Plant with a capacity to process up to 2.4 million tonnes per annum.
In addition to the existing mine, LCM is advancing studies for the development of a significant high-grade undeveloped copper deposit called the ‘Extension Area’. Close to the existing mine development, the Extension Area is a large, high-grade deposit with exciting potential for the future.
